Statement
The work in this series of paintings relates to the Japanese Lolita fashion movement.
The clothing designs are usually hand sewn and resemble children's dolls from the Victorian Era. Lolita fashion is a return to purity, innocence and childhood...which unfortunately has been denied the victims of sex trafficking.
It is my hope that through help, rescue and awareness, the unbroken spirit of these young girls and women still remains, allowing them a return to childhood and discovery of the potential that lies within.
